ad - I’ve just disembarked a cruise where I was the first guest EVER to stay in my cabin because I was sailing on a brand new cruise ship. I’m very used to cruising on ships that are 20 or 30 years old so before this trip I had a few questions. Would this cabin really be better than the rooms I’ve stayed in before, what past cruise cabin problems was it hoping to fix and did they manage to do it?

** Pssst, you'll see 'ad' or 'paid promotion' on all content created on this trip as it was a press trip. All thoughts and opinions are my own, and Norwegian have made no changes to this video. That means that I get to show you things I normally off limits and you get bonus content. Woohoo!! ** 😇

If you've got this far down... comment something about the Squirrel in the video. There isn't one of course but I LOVE reading these comments, they make me laugh so much. Last week I asked you to comment Giraffe and the comments are hilarious. I bet they confuse people who didn't read all the way down! 🤔😋

I often find that adding more parts to a cabin just means more to go wrong, so I hoped that wouldn’t be the case. I was optimistic that nothing would be damaged as it was brand new, but it very easily could have been unfinished and newer definitely doesn’t always mean better.

I was assigned cabin 10882 and I went straight onto to Norwegian’s website to find my room, I found it right at the back on deck 10. Looking at the deck plans I could see that my cabin was what is called a family club balcony suite, I’d never had one of those before so that was exciting. I was a little bit nervous about being so far to the back in case we had bad weather but overall it looked like a good location from my first impression. We did end up in a really bad storm, but more about that later.
