I took my 78-year-old dad island hopping through Croatia, and it became a reminder that time is our most valuable asset.
A couple of years ago, after being diagnosed with cancer, I started looking at time differently.
We all assume there will be another summer, another trip, another opportunity to spend time with the people we love.
But life doesn’t make any promises.
So when the chance came up to spend a week sailing the Croatian islands with my dad aboard the Queen Jelena with Sail Croatia, there was only one answer.
This wasn’t just a holiday. It was a reminder that experiences matter more than possessions, and that time with family is one of the few things we can never get back.
