In this video, we discuss the use of travel vests for dive travel. Vest can be used to hold documents, money, hygiene items, and medicine. In addition, when there are severe carry on bag weight restrictions, vests can also be used to transport dive gear such as disassembled regulators.
Other than one Bonaire airport security officer who mistakenly thought I was wearing body armor, no airline or law enforcement personnel anywhere in the world have stopped or searched me as a result of wearing a vest in the last five years since I began wearing them. This includes U.S. TSA and foreign security agencies. My vests are tan in color, if you wear a black vest, your results may differ.
