One of our major goals during our South Pacific Crossing was to take the time to get dive certified! Upon reaching the beautiful island of Moorea in French Polynesia, we found the wonderful staff at Moorea Blue Dive and instantly knew this was the place for us to learn.
Right off the back of our Selene Trawler, Ruth Pearl, we were able to do 5 dives over 4 days as well as completing our e-learning courses. Diving in the crystal blue waters of Moorea was surreal to say the least!
During our open water training, we were lucky enough to dive with reef sharks, swim alongside sea turtles, and even spot a camouflaged octopus. It was an incredible introduction to the underwater world. After days of hard work and breathtaking underwater views, we officially passed our checkouts and got our scuba certifications!
Now that we can explore below the surface, it opens up a whole new world for our ocean voyage. Huge thanks to the team at Moorea Blue Dive for making our first-ever scuba experience unforgettable.
