I went on a SCUBA diving liveaboard boat in Hurghada, Egypt, to dive the Red Sea. What's a liveaboard? I'm glad you asked - this video will tell you all about it!
A liveaboard boat is basically what it sounds like. You sleep on board, and your days are filled with diving, eating, sunbathing and having a relaxing time in general. I went on a boat called Amelie, on a Best of Hurghada trip. Previously I've also gone on a trip to the Straits of Tiran, to see the many wrecks of the Red Sea.
In this video I show you everything you can expect from the boat, and from the trip in general. Food, lounge areas, diving, and a short introduction to what SCUBA diving involves - this video walks you through all of that.
But there's more. A liveaboard is a perfect place to meet new people and exchange travel stories, and to get to know the amazing crew that works on board. And you're constantly surrounded by the amazing beauty of the Red Sea itself.
I also show you a bit of what you can see underwater in this video. Everything from moray eels, to bannerfish, batfish, lionfish, tiny crabs and shrimp, to playful dolphins who may greet you both when diving and when snorkling at the surface.
SCUBA diving is something that I recommend everyone to try - and the Red Sea is an absolutely amazing place to see.
