In this video, I share moments from exploring the waters of Southern California. We went scuba diving through giant kelp forests and witnessed a well known family pod of orcas. Alongside my friend Macey @spottinggiantseabass1233 Adam @adamernsterwildlife and Jason @jasonopenocean
These encounters are reminders of how dynamic and interconnected marine ecosystems truly are. Kelp forests act as underwater cities, supporting a diverse community of marine life. At the same time, these habitats are constantly changing, shaped by climate, currents, and the species that live within them.
I hope I was able to not only share the beauty of the Channel Islands, but also the importance of staying curious about the ocean and protecting the ecosystems that sustain it.
