At the end of November 2022, we stayed at the 5-star Albatros Palace Resort in Hurghada, Egypt. The hotel offers the usual high standard of the Albatros hotel chain. With 7 restaurants and an extensive all-inclusive offer, there is hardly a culinary wish left unfulfilled. Particularly noteworthy: The cocktails are freshly prepared, without the syrup mixtures that are otherwise common in Egypt. However, mostly local alcoholic ingredients are used.
The extensive pool area offers something for everyone: there is shallow access to the main pool, a special children's area and a heated relaxation zone with whirlpools. The beach is located directly on the Red Sea and is ideal for snorkeling and diving. The house reef is accessible via a jetty.
As our originally booked room was no longer available, we stayed in a double room with a garden view of the sister hotel Albatros Beach Resort. The room was very clean and well equipped with a shower, TV, hotel safe, kettle and hairdryer. The resort is spacious and may be less suitable for people with walking difficulties.
The weather in Hurghada was pleasantly warm at the end of November, with temperatures around 27°C. However, it felt a little cooler when it was cloudy.
The Senzo Mall, a shopping center nearby, is easily accessible on foot or by cab.
