Sri Ramamlingeshwara temple is also known as Avani Temple,is an ancient temple built during 10th Century. As per Archeological Survey of India, the temple is initially founded by Nolamba Dynasty.After that temple was restored by Chola dynasty and is a beutiful temple build in Dravidian Style of Architecture.The temple is protected Monument now and is under Archeological Survey Of India.
The temple complex has 4 major shrines.This is 1 temple for Lord Ram and one each other for this brother Sri lakshman,Bharat ad Shatruthan. Then there are temples dedicated to Vali and Sugriv as well.
